There are times when you know that a company has to really take responsibility for doing something wrong, there are also times when you know they have to fire an employee for doing something really unacceptable that tarnishes the reputation of the company. Anyway, over the weekend, someone from within the offices of Vodafone posted a Tweet using the company’s official account. The said Tweet contained very inappropriate language. While many can say that it is Vodafone’s responsibility to keep track of its personnel, there is simply no way to keep track of behaviors such as these. Fortunatel...
The successor to the LG KM900 Arena has been spotted online together with a few leaked details on the handset. Bigger than its predecessor, the Arena Max sports a 3.5 inch touchscreen compared to the 3.2 inch screen on the original Arena. Another difference is that the keys beneath the screen are no longer touch-sensitive. The Arena Max has physical keys for managing calls and accessing the main menu. Photos and video footage of the HTC Incredible smartphone have been leaked. Viewed for the first time, the handset looks and sounds incredible – but whether it is, remains to be seen. The HTC Incredible runs on the Android 2.1 operating system and is powered by the Snapdragon processor (reported to be a minimum of 1GHz) with 256MB RAM. The Snapdragon is a rapid internal processor, and it fuels other impressive smartphones including the Toshiba TG01, the Xperia X10 and the Google Nexus One. The touchscreen on the Incredible is either 3.5 inches or 3.7 inches, and possibly also AMOLED. The...
This is practically leaving the iPhone OS completely out of place. Anyway, while it is unlikely that going open source will turn the Symbian OS into a platform of choice, it will certainly attract a lot more developers. Open source platforms always have the benefit of having a dedicated community of developers and contributors who lend precious time and effort in creating and testing applications and new functionalities on mobile phones. Now Symbian will also get that advantage. Not to say that there is not an existing base of developers creating applications for Symbian, but going open ...
