LG U300 review

LG U300

The LG U300 is one of the lightest 3g phones available. It’s clamshell design makes it small and compact, perfect if you have small pockets, but still want 3g capabilities. The LG U300 comes in either Orange or chameleon, the choice is yours.

Underneath the neat design is a fairly unspectacular phone. Don’t get me wrong, what it does, it does well. But if you are looking for a phone that sets the world on fire, this is not it! Having said that because there are fewer features, the battery life is good and they have pretty good reliability. One handy feature that I believe should be on all mobile phones is the ability to charge through a USB cable.. Ingenious.

The LG U300 comes with a very good MP£ player. The l phone comes with a 128MB memory card, which is enough to get you started, although for longer trips you may need to upgrade, especially if you are taking pictures on the 1.2 megapixel camera as well.

Overall a nice looking phone with a few features. You can often fid some good contract deals with the U300, so shop around. Why not check out our LG U300 contracts offers?

LG Shine KE970 Review

LG Shine

The first thing that you notice about the LG KE970 Shine mobile phone is just how shiny it really is. If you like checking yourself out in the mirror then you would be worth checking this mobile out. Joking aside, this phone is really sleek and oozes style. The mirror effect casing isn’t a new concept, but LG have certainly taken it to the next level.

The LG shine is an extremely slim phone and comes with a sliding mechanism. When the phone is closed, the screen displays a mirror effect meaning any passers by would not know the phone had a screen at all. The keypad is etched into the stainless steel surface and are backlit with a blue light which works to great effect. The navigation of the phone is also very easy and intuitive, making life easy for the technophobes out there.

The screen of the LG shine is of high quality. It is 2.2 Inches high with 240X320 pixels. This is a good size for taking pictures with the built in camera, which incidentally can take video footage as well.

The dimensions of the LG shine weighs in at 155 grams, not the lightest phone in the world, but by no means heavy. The weight can make it feel a little flimsy at times, but overall build quality is fairly good. The phone has a depth of just 4mm which is very slim and can sometimes feel as though it would snap, although mine never has!

The LG shine comes with 1GB of inbuilt memory, a nice little addition, especially considering most phones come with anything between 32mb and 128mb with the option to expand. At least you don’t have to rush out an buy a new memory card, 1 GB is plenty to support all those songs you want to play on the built in MP3 player.

The phone is tri band so if you are a bit of a jet setter, rest assured you can use it in most of America. The networks supported are as follows: GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900.

Overall this phone is stylish in every way. If you want a good looking phone and aren’t too worried about features, then I’d say get this one.

LG PRADA KE850

LG PRADA PhoneThe company that brought you the LG chocolate is back with an equally stylish offering. The PRADA KE850 utilises the touch screen technology that made the chocolate so popular in the first place. Slightly larger than the chocolate, the KE850 ways in at 85 grams and measures 98.8×54x12mm. The battery life isn’t bad either with a talktime of 3 hoursa and standby closer to the 300 hour mark.

Indeed this is the first phone to show the PRADA label and as such the phone oozes a sense of style and quality that you would associate with such a brand name. The features, as you would expect, are no more than average. A 2megapixel camera, MP3 player and bluetooth functionality are about the limit for this little baby, but to be honest you don’t buy a phone like this for its gadgets and appliacations.

As far as functionality goes, the LG PRADA is surprisingly easy to use. The entire front of the phone is touch-sensitive with three additional small silver buttons for making a call, ending a call and going back a step. Everything else is done via touch.

The menu system is intuitive and easy to use. I had a little difficulty clicking through some of the menu options when my hands got a a little clammy, but other than that I could find everything I needed fairly easily.

As far as phones go, this is more of a fashion accessory than a cutting edge piece of technology, but with a label like PRADA on the front we knew that would be the case. I give it a 7/10.
