The main thing I have liked about 3 so far is their prices, they are very cheap and are probably the cheapest network I have been on for cross network calls. This is usually where other networks (like O2 grrr) catch you out. Choice of phones is pretty good, they usually have lots of the best ones. I have found general coverage to be fine but a bit more sketchy for 3G, but works well in most areas. I don't think their customer service is up to much though, that is one of the main letdowns here.
I have read a few reviews of 3 saying they have bad signal but have not found this to be the case. Their 3G is perhaps a bit hit and miss but their normal signal is pretty much the same as other networks. The 3g is getting better as well as more and more people are starting to use it. 3 are certainly better for prices, i think that is really their strong point. Customer services is based in india which can cause some problems with misunderstandings, but nothing too drastic. Overall a good network, i think some people exaggerate signal claims for some reason.
