Ever though that you could do better than the professionals at designing your own mobile phone handset? Well here is your chance (to an extent anyway). The newly launched Nokia Build enables its users to customise the design of their mobile.
Currently Nokia Build service is only available on one of Nokia’s handsets; the Nokia 7310 Supernova, but I’m pretty sure if this service does turn out to be relatively popular Nokia will be extending the Nokia Build to other, more desirable mobiles phones. The Nokia 7310 Supernova is not the greatest mobile phone out there at the moment, with its forgettable features of 2 mega pixel camera with no flash and no 3G connectivity, this phone is not going to light any fires. You will have the option to expand the memory to 4GB with a Micro SD card, however this does not make up for its poor specs.
This phone is really targeting a customer base who are much more interested in standing out from the crowd with a unique design rather than the its features. The Nokia 7310 Supernova comes pre-installed with MyNokia and Yahoo Go!, “free SMS based education service”, (could be hand for help with your GCSE’s?) which gives us some idea of the targeted demographics of this phone.
The Nokia Build customisation service will give you complete customisation over the Nokia 7310 Supernova. The already available service will allow you to design a hand drawn design, upload your own images and have a play with the additional set of cool design tools.
