January 8th, 2009 by Best Mobile Contracts

LG GD910Last Wednesday LG Electronics introduced their latest offering to the mobile phone / gadget market at the Consumer Electronics Show in Last Vegas; a fully functional wrist watch phone. Described as "This is something you expect to see in a 007 movie," by President and Chief Technology Office of LG Electronics, Woo Paik. I think he might be right; such a gadget would not look out of place in a 007 movie.

The LG GD910 will boast an impressive1.5 inches touch screen, Bluetooth capabilities, music player, camera, broadband around 2 hours talk time. Several manufacturers (including Sony Ericsson) already have watch phones released on the market, however none give their user the ability to make video calls, the LG GD910 watch phone will be the first.

So how exactly can a phone call are made on the LG GD910?

The user will have a wireless ear price, connected to the watch via Bluetooth which will allow the user to hear, and the watch will detect the user’s voice within 25 centimetres of the device. No price for the GD910 was disclosed at the show, however is likely to go into production in the middle of 2009.
