The truth about Nokias comes with music

January 7th, 2009 by Best Mobile Contracts

Comes With MusicThe Nokia Comes with music is currently available on the Nokia 5310 and Nokia N95 8GB. Basically, comes with music in a subscription services to Nokia Music Store,  (which holds over 4 million tracks) that is available on a pay as you go or with a mobile phone contract that enables download of 192kbps music tracks in Windows Media Format to your computer (Windows only, MAC is not supported). There is no limit to the amount of downloads that you make and you will even be able to keep the tracks once the subscription has expired.

So what’s the drawback, because it sounds like a win win situation to me?

The “comes with music” drawback is that the tracks that you download to your PC must remain on your PC. You cannot share with friends, burn onto CDs, transfer to MP3 players etc etc. All you can do with the tracks is upload to your phone, this is only the phone that you get with the subscription in the first place.

Nokia do seems to have somewhat of a heart, if your phone of computer dies, your comes with music library will be replaced, however only if you are still within your Comes With Music subscription period.

Overall, the Nokia Comes With Music service is really good service, probably the best available at present. Especially if you are going to by a Nokia 5310 on pay as you go for £130 with a 12 month subscription.
