Nokia have unveiled their latest addition to their XpressMusic range; the Nokia 5630 XpressMusic. As with all XpressMusic mobile phones, including the highly reclaimed Nokia 5800 XpressMusic (released late last year) is primarily driven to proving its users with advanced entrainment experiences. The Nokia XpressMusic 5630 is no different.
It is a member of the S60 software provided by Symbian OS, “the world’s most popular software for smartphones”. This software is used by a huge range of mobile phones already released onto the market including a whole range of Nokia mobiles (E66, E71, N97, N96 to name a few) and other mobile phone manufacturers including the Samsung INNOV8. Right, down to business; what is the Nokia 5630 XpressMusic got to keep us entertained for hours on end?
- Screen: 2.2 inch QVGA TFT screen that allows 240 x 320 pixel resolution.
- Music: Being an XpressMusic phone, you would not expect anything less. The 5630 XmpressMusic will be available with “Comes With Music” (in a number of countries) that will allow free download from the Nokia Music Store for the length of the Nokia 5630 XpressMusic Contract length. The phone will come with a 4GB microSD card that will store up to 3,000 tunes, however can also be upgraded to 16GB microSD memory card. A cool voice-controlled music feature of the phone is its “say and pay” feature, which enabled a user to speak a name of an artist and the phone will automatically play a track.
- Radio: FM radio and Internet radio
- Camera: Contains a 3.2 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, 4x digital zoom and capable of video recording.
- N-Gage: The Nokia 5630 XpressMusic will be only the second non N-Series Nokia device to be equipped with Nokia’s gaming platform, (Nokia 6120 Classic was the first).
- Connectivity: Equipped with fast HSDPA connectivity which will allow sharing of all of your photos and videos on social networking sites like Facebook, Ovi share and Flickr really, really quickly. In addition to being HSUPA enabled, which will allow upload of data at speeds of up to 2mbps, like the Nokia 6260 Slide which was the first HSUPA mobile phone.
This super thin (12mm) XpressMusic addition will really get some heads turning, especially seeing the N-Gage gaming platform being tossed in for good luck. This mobile is packed full of features to keep you busy for a very long time. We expect to see the Nokia 5630 XpressMusic mobile phone to be available in Q2 2009 at a price of $199 (before tax), however with Nokia 5630 XpressMusic contracts, the phone price is expected to be free.
