The Nokia 2730 Classic is one amongst three mobile devices recently launched by Finnish company, Nokia. These mobile devices are geared towards consumers in emerging markets and the Nokia 2730 Classic boasts of a powerful array of features for an equally appealing price tag. This device is estimated to retail for around 70 to 80 euros and is so far the most affordable 3G phone offered by Nokia.Owing to the phone’s 3G connectivity and Opera Mini browser, users are afforded a speedy browsing experience. Users can take advantage of convenient Ovi services such as sharing, e-mail and contacts. Ovi Share enables users to manage media under a unified homescreen which facilitates sharing with friends and family. Ovi Mail is a simplified e-mailing application that allows users to sign-up for and maintain an e-mail account directly from the device. Ovi Contacts and Calendar and makes it easy for you to synchronize important information so that it is available to you from your device, from a PC or any location that has Web access.
Its multimedia features are also more than satisfactory. The Nokia 2730 Classic has a 2 megapixel camera which you can use to capture images in landscape mode. It has video recording capabilities of up to 10 frames per second. It comes built-in with a music player that can play MP3 and MP4 amongst many other file formats. The Nokia 2730 is also pre-loaded with games.
To make the device an even more practical tool, Nokia fitted it with a GPS pre-loaded with Nokia Maps. The phone has an internal memory of 32MB but a microSD card slot can accommodate an additional 2GB of memory.
The appearance of the device looks very similar to the Nokia 6700 model although the features are somewhat different. The Nokia 2730 Classic was introduced with the Nokia 2720 and 7020 and is expected to be available by the second half of 2009.
