The main selling point of the Nokia E52 is undoubtedly the 8 hour talk time and up to 28 days standby period that the device provides. With this latest E Series phone from Nokia, we may never have to worry about call interruption again. Coupled with the extended talk time is the noise cancellation system that makes for higher sound clarity and acuity even in noisy environments. There are other laudable features of the phone that enhance one’s productivity. This device is 3G enabled which provides us with a rich online experience. It is also HSUPA, WLAN and WiFi enabled. It is a quad-band phone that has GPRS and EGSM technologies. Connectivity is indeed fully packed on this device.
It is a highly reliable work phone as it comes with Mobile VPN and Call Connect so you can easily view corporate websites and so you are connected to the company’s phone lines. Local connectivity and synchronization is supported by Bluetooth, a USB port and Microsoft ActiveSync, amongst others. E-mail is decidedly more efficient with the Nokia Messaging application as well as IBM Lotus Traveller and Mail for Exchange software. You can choose from two screen modes, personal and business, so you can separately manage your private and work lives.
Whilst the Nokia E52 is primarily a business phone, it is worth mentioning the multimedia features that it has. Its 3.2MP camera has full focus, LED flash and 4x digital zoom. Its main camera can record videos of up to 15 fps. It has a music and media player which allows you to adjust settings for the equalizer, stereo widening and so on.
The Nokia E52, along with the other E Series phones released by Nokia this year (such as the E55 and E75), should give its competitors a run for their money. The E52 is slated for release during the year’s second half at an estimated price tag of €245.
