There’s Nothing Mid-Range About the Samsung Omnia Lite B7300

July 19th, 2009 by Best Mobile Contracts
Samsung-OmniaLITEKorean mobile company Samsung recently launched four smartphones belonging to its Omnia series and amongst the four, the Samsung Omnia Lite B7300 seems to be the lightweight device, being offered as the mid-range choice in the series. There is however, nothing average about the device as it does pack a host of features that, whilst isn’t necessarily the latest, still would impress most smartphone users.

Feature-Rich Mid-Range Phone
Samsung-Omnia-LiteFor starters, the Omnia Lite is equipped with 3G connectivity providing browsing speeds of up to 3.6Mbps. Coupled with the device’s well-respected Opera browser, users should get more than adequate Internet experience. Speed of performance isn’t an issue with this phone as it is equipped with a 667MhZ processor – just a tad faster than the processor built into the iPhone 3G S.

The resistive touchscreen of the Omnia Lite is equipped with a sensor that automatically orients the view according to the direction in which the mobile is held. Samsung’s impressive TouchWiz user interface makes navigation even more effortless, plus Smart Unlock allows users to access applications without unlocking the phone.

Other Productivity Features
Apart from 3G, business features of the Omnia Lite include WiFi connectivity, local connectivity via Bluetooth and a microUSB, document viewing capabilities, voice memo and an organiser. Push e-mail and IM are also available.
Entertainment and More
Multimedia features include a 3MP camera which also records video at 30 frames per second. The device is sure to yield good quality photographs as it is equipped with autofocus and smile detection technologies. Geo-tagging is also a function that you can access so this means the device is fitted with GPS. The music player is compatible with AAC, MP3 and WMA codecs. You will also find on board a DivX and Xvid player.

Those in search for a mid-range smartphone that performs competently, the Omnia Lite, along with the Omnia 2, is expected to hit markets during the second half of 2009 and will cost you upwards of €300.
