Ever since mobile phones became a hit in the mainstream market, Nokia has been one of the top players in the game. The Finnish telecom giant has established itself as a dependable brand that produces mobiles of the highest quality. The latest weapon in their ever-growing arsenal is the Nokia 3720 Classic – one of the few mid-ranged mobiles to market as a water resistant device. Here’s the lowdown on all the other features of the 3720.
The Basics
Set for a Q3 release, the 3720 will be a tri band device over the 2G network (GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900). In terms of data connectivity, GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, and Bluetooth support will be on board. The 3720 will have a Li-Ion 1050 mAh standard battery that will last up to 17 days on standby and provide up to 7 hours of talk time.
Sporting a 2.2-inch TFT screen (16 million colours; 240 x 320-pixel resolution), the 3720 will have the dimensions of 115 x 47 x 15.3 mm and a weight of only 94 grams.
The Features
As a mid-range mobile phone, don’t expect the Nokia 3720 Classic to have the cutting edge features of top of the line Smartphones. However, it is able to hold its own as a functional mobile that provides users with all the basic features of mobile phones.
Aside from a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 8 GB of external memory, the 3720 will also be sporting a 2-Megapixel camera complete with an LED flash (resolution: 1600 x 1200 pixels). It will be running on a Symbian OS, which will either be the S40 or the S60 edition. Other built-in features will include a multi-format media player (compatible with MP3, eAAC+, and WMA audio files; MPEG4 videos), Nokia Maps, as well as a WAP 2.0/xHTML & HTML web browser.
