After the announcement of the Sony Ericsson Satio and the release of the Samsung Pixon 12 – two of the first devices to sport an ultra powerful 12-Megapixel camera – LG have come up with their own version in the form of the upcoming LG Louvre GC990. It currently remains as a concept model as release information still remains unconfirmed. However, what we are sure of is that this device has to be one of the best to come out of the South Korean-based mobile phone mogul’s kitchen.
Basic Specs
The Louvre GC990 is a quad band GSM mobile that will also support global roaming. All the usual data connectivity technologies will be on board including EDGE, GPRS, UMTS, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, and HSUPA. The GC990’s display is also a treat – a 3.2-inch TFT touch screen which also features handwriting recognition.
There are also loads of other impressive features on the device including full email support, voice recording, video calling, an organizer, and a GPS receiver with A-GPS support, to name a few.
Feature Presentation
Although there are a lot of impressive features on the LG Louvre GC990, its best feature still has to be its 12-Megapixel snapper. This is definitely a revolutionary mobile phone technology as it also comes with amazing functions such as ISO control, geo-tagging, digital zoom, face, blink & smile detection, image stabilizer, and auto & manual focus.
Although a select number of mobiles also have a 12-Megapixel camera on board (i.e. Samsung Pixon 12 and the Sony Ericsson Satio), the GC990 is the only device to integrate such a powerful camera with high def video recording. Users will be able to capture videos of the highest quality at a rate of 30 fps and a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720.
