Nokia has recently announced the imminent release of the new Nokia 6760 Slide come Q3 of this year. This device is specially designed for the social networking-inclined individuals who have the need to always be connected with their family and friends. So if you find yourself constantly checking your Twitter and Facebook account on impulse then perhaps the 6760 slide is the mobile for you.
Social Butterflies
With a Symbian S60 operating system, the 6760 will have a myriad of applications that will be perfect for those who just love social networking. Specialized apps for sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace will be pre-installed on the device which will allow easy, one-click access. The 6760 Slide will also have full e-mail support for a variety of providers including Ovi Mail, Yahoo! Mail, GMail, and Hotmail, to name a few.
These applications work perfectly with the 6760’s sliding QWERTY keyboard that provides users with the quickest and easiest way to compose those messages. You can be sure to easily update your status on Facebook, or reply to that important email wherever you may be.
Also On Board
Aside from all these features for the social butterflies, the Nokia 6760 will also have a lot of other functions on board. Included in this list is a 3.15-Megapixel camera (2048 x 1536 pixels), a GPS receiver (with A-GPS support and Nokia Maps installed), Quick Office (for Microsoft Office compatibility), an FM tuner (with RDS support), and a multi-format media player (compatible with MPEG4 and 3GP videos; MP3, WAV, and AAC audio files).
Although it does not have WLAN support, users can still access the internet via the GPRS, EDGE, HSCSD, and 3G capabilities of the 3720. It is also a quad band 2G device (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and will work over the HSDPA 2100 3G network.
