After the announcement of the impressive Louvre GC990, it seems like LG is taking it down a notch with the upcoming GW300. The former is a high end mobile phone sporting cutting edge features such as a 12-Megapixel camera and Wi-Fi support. The former on the other hand, is a more economical device that is targeting the entry level market. Read on below to see what LG has to offer on the new GW300.
Main Features
The GW300’s main attraction has to be its QWERTY keyboard – a feature not usually found in most entry level mobiles. It provides users with an enhanced messaging experience for composing text messages or those important emails. It also has a 2.4-inch screen that provides QVGA-quality display.
In terms of data connectivity, EDGE, GPRS, and Bluetooth (version 2.0 with A2DP) will be on board. The GW300 will also be equipped with an acceptable 3.2-Megapixel camera. Although it may not be in the same league as the likes of the Sony Ericsson Satio or the Samsung Pixon 12 (both with staggering 12-Megapixel snappers), the GW300’s camera is still capable of producing decent photographs.
Mobile Internet
There have been conflicting reports on the web regarding 3G support on the LG GW300. Whatever the case may be, this is truly a crucial piece of information that will influence the market’s reception of the GW300. However, with e-mail clients and a Facebook application on board (both have been confirmed), it looks as though LG will provide some way to connect to the web on the GW300. If Wi-Fi connectivity is too much to ask for then we’d surely settle for 3G connectivity.
There is also currently no information available regarding the release price and date of the LG GW300. All we can do for now is wait and see.
