Amazingly Unique
Another break from the traditional mobile phone from LG, Korea’s innovative mobile phone maker, gets officially launched today – LG BL40 Chocolate. This is the 4th handset form LG’s Black Label series and boasts an impressive 4 inch high definition LCD widescreen with 800 x 345 “true VGA” resolution that allows cinema-like viewing of most movies in the 21:9 aspect ratio a real pleasure to do.
It is certainly a unique departure from the more mundane large screen mobile phones in its class flooding the market. From its pictures released during the launch, it may well be the longest mobile phone thus far and with a slim body, it can start to look like a chocolate candy bar. It only comes in black with a large screen covered with a slightly curved tempered glass that altogether makes the LG BL40 an exquisite fashion accessory for the trendy crowd.
Cinema in Your Hands
Sporting a slim touchscreen form factor, the new LG Chocolate’s main appeal is anchored on its 4” display that’s truly massive for a mobile phone. Displaying vivid natural colors, videos, still images and gaming graphics take on a divine viewing experience on a handset. Needless to say, a large screen is always welcome when browsing on the internet. The LG BL40 has what it takes, having the largest mobile phone screen of any touchscreen mobile phone in its class.
Moreover, its 4-inch display features Dual Screen user interface that wows you with two distinct content types at the same time. Of course, its remarkable features don’t end here. Looking at its spec sheets gives a déjà vu feeling that we’re looking at another LG flagship smartphone.
One trifling caveat is in order though – it’s rather non-competitive proprietary OS. LG could have followed Sony Ericsson’s latest forays into the Android and Symbian platforms to take advantage of their proven functionality and versatility. But no matter, the LG OS does a respectable job delivering what it promises to do. Expect it to become available by the end of the third quarter this year.
