The Latest Black Label
Korea’s leading mobile phone maker LG has just released its new Chocolate smartphone – the BL40. This is going to be the 4th model in the company’s Black Label series of smartphones to come out this year. The official launch came with stunning pictures that confirmed what we’ve anticipated for long. It’s the thinnest and longest smartphone in the market. And what truly distinguishes it remarkably well is its unique true VGA widescreen display which at 4” makes the BL40 one of the largest touchscreen in the market today.
But having a large display isn’t enough. The new LG BL40 Chocolate sports a 21:9 screen aspect which makes it ideal and a satisfying viewing experience for watching widescreen movies almost all of which are in that aspect ratio. In addition, nothing beats a large screen when surfing the internet on a mobile phone. The Bl40 certainly takes advantage of that.
Impressive Features
It official launch has resulted in a flurry of unofficial hands-on review to once again litter the internet. For whatever it’s worth, here are some impressions about the LG BL40 we found common in many of these reviews.
- It’s one of the thinnest smartphones in the market and is certainly the longest one
- It’s 4” widescreen true VGA high definition display is a real pleasure to use allowing movies to be shown in their cinema-like 21:9 aspect ratio.
- It sports LG’s S-Class user interface that enables dual display of two different contents.
- It features just about all the leading edge LG smartphone marvels you can expect in a 5 megapixel camera phone of this class.
- As the pictures themselves reveal, it’s a head turner and should appeal to high fashion market.
The eagerly awaited BL40 smartphone is expected to be available in sexy black when it reaches European stores by the end of August. Retail price is not yet available.
