LG GW620 is the Newest Android in Town

October 3rd, 2009 by Best Mobile Contracts

LG GW620LG is invading the android smart phone industry. There is no surprise here; LG has long been edging its way in the mobile phone industry. The GW620 may be the company’s first attempt at an android smart phone, but they certainly did their research and are pulling no punches on this one. While this may seem odd since LG is also creating several other smart phones that use the Windows Mobile operating software, this means LG is broadening its consumer base to include fans of android phones. Having its own operating system built from the ground up means that the GW620 is promising users a new experience. Hopefully, the new OS follows good design rules.

A Beautiful Phone

The press release images alone speak louder than words, this is going to be one good looking phone. The matte finish around the touch screen glass is beautiful to look at and we just cannot wait to get our hands on the unit itself. A full QWERTY keyboard slides out from the side. The keys look promising, with enough space for even the stubbiest fingers. Every so often, a nicely designed phone gets released to the market, this looks like LG is about to make that rare event happen once more. All in all, you will enjoy looking at this mobile phone, it just looks too good.

Packed to the Brim

The phone has all connectivity features;  WiFi, GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, you name it, it has it. The on board browser for the LG GW620 has yet to see daylight, but we can all hope that it is going to be good. It also comes packed with a three inch resistive touch screen that can display resolutions of up to 320×480 pixels. There is no word yet on the memory capacity, but it will support microSD memory.
