A Phone for Purists
A person will have a hard time looking for a mobile phone (in today’s market) that is purely a mobile phone. That is, all of the phones are never just mobile phones anymore; they all either have a state of the art camera, or a great mobile Internet browser or anything else that makes it more than just a mobile phone. For the purists out there, there is the new Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pureness, which is the anti-technology phone. It is a basic phone that reverts back to simplicity and purity.
The Design
In terms of the design, the XPERIA Pureness is an art phone that focuses on style rather than functionality. First, its body is typical of any candy bar phone, except that there is nothing written on the buttons (at least not when it is not in use). When you look up to the screen, you see an incredible transparent screen that makes it look like the display is floating in air. The downside is that the display is monochromatic and it is a little on the small side. Apart from that minor draw back, the overall design is perfect for those looking for a posh phone.
Its Functionality
Sony Ericsson has not really released a lot of information regarding the XPERIA Pureness’ applications and other specs but from the available information, one can surmise that its aim of giving people “a holiday from technology” is achieved. Apart from the usual call, and text a capability, this phone is also said to have Bluetooth connectivity, GSM/EDGE support, and quite possible some music playback feature (and even a camera), and that is pretty much it. It does not have web-browsing capabilities, or email-push support or any other feature typical of a mobile phone released this year.
It is a mobile phone, plain and simple, and if that is not enough for you, move on. But if you are looking for an experience that is pure and aesthetically pleasing, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pureness is the phone for you.
