It’s an Android! The mobile community rejoices once again as another Android smart phone is announced and this time by the amazing mobile phone experts at Samsung. Samsung has had great success in the mobile phone industry thanks to their amazing phone series and constant desire to push technology forward. This time they are going bring Google’s Android mobile operating software right into the palm of your hand.
The Lighter Galaxy
If the i7500 Galaxy is beyond your budget and you still want your Samsung and Android smart phone fix, then the i5700 Galaxy Lite is just the right mobile phone for you. The main difference between the two models is in the memory and the camera. While the change from i7500’s 5 mega pixel camera to a 3.2mega pixel camera is easy to manage (how many people really need to take super high resolution images anyway?) the change from 8GB of internal memory to just 1GB is a major letdown.
Keeping Everything Else
With the internal memory severely severed to just a literal eighth of the original, it is a good thing that Samsung is no longer going to change any of the other features. This means that the AMOLED touch screen is still there with all of glorious 3.2 inches of 320×480 pixel resolution. Not to mention full GPRS, HSDPA, 3G, EDGE and wireless LAN capabilities. There is still no confirmation that the device will still use the Qualcomm MSM7200a 528 MHz processor used for the original Galaxy.
The Design Advantage
One great thing about the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite is that it is leaps beyond the old Galaxy in terms of design aesthetics. While the old Galaxy was badly overshadowed and outclassed by HTC’s better Android models, Samsung has chosen a nice bold design with the i5700 Galaxy Lite.
