The Samsung Omnia B7320 is a non-touch screen smart phone that runs Windows Mobile and is pretty much unoriginal in every possible aspect. The light brown hue is a refreshing change from the usual queue of black gloss smart phones you will find these days, but aside from that little factor, there is nothing in this mobile phone that is really worth a second look. That is pretty harsh, but these days, smart phones are practically a dime a dozen and major company like Samsung is just wasting our time coming up with lackluster products such as the Omnia Pro B7320.
What is the Pro?
If you are wondering why Samsung added Pro to this device, maybe they were hoping that this phone would fit into the niche market of young professionals looking for a suitable mobile device. We are just guessing here, because there are is you compare this device to the other Omnia phones in the series, this version has no advantage over the others save for a new color scheme and a its 1420mAh lithium ion battery.
Samsung is Losing its Touch
Losing the touch screen is probably one of the worst moves Samsung did. Do away with the QWERTY keyboard and give us a large touch screen Samsung! Palm was generous enough with the really small Palm Pixi and still managed to give it both a keyboard and a capacitive touch screen. Navigating around the pseudo Samsung TouchWiz interface with an analog directional pad has to be one of the saddest experiences you can get with this device.
A Better Omnia
The Omnia series is still a good set of mobile phones from Samsung. Maybe Samsung is trying to get into some really small niche markets we are not aware of, but one thing is for certain, the Omnia Pro B7320 has no place in the mainstream market.
