HTC HD2 Review

November 23rd, 2009 by Best Mobile Contracts

HTC HD2With the news that the O2 network is today going to add the HTC HD2 mobile phone to their line up we thought that it was a good time to check out exactly what the device has to offer.

The most obvious drawing point of this handset is the fact that it is the first mobile phone running under the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system to boast a capacitive display – and as if that weren’t enough, it also has the biggest screen available on a mobile phone as of the time of writing.

The HTC HD2 also makes use of HTC‘s Sense UI, which was made popular by its featuring on the manufacturer’s Android mobile phones. It gives the HTC HD2 flawless integration with Facebook and Twitter, as well as cleverly hiding the operating system – thus creating what many users would consider an almost flawless interface.

The screen is the largest of any mobile phone currently on the market, sitting at a very impressive 4.3 inches. The display covers almost the entire face of the handset, leaving only the tiniest gap for a speaker and buttons, giving it the same good looks of a slick, mini tablet.

The buttons are fairly attractive too, fitting in with the sleek look of the handset. Despite their small size, (needed to accommodate the big screen,) they are raised and easy to press.

The back of the phone is equally minimalist; it houses the camera which makes use of a dual LED flash, but besides that it is smooth and clear.

The whole HTC HD2 mobile phone just has this amazing feel to it; it lacks a complex body but has all the features and more you’d expect under the hood – including Wi Fi connectivity.
