If you loved, or hated the LG BL40 Chocolate Touch, here is the slimmer, nicer and more user friendly LG BL20. Yes, unlike the bigger sister, this model does not bite. Seriously speaking, both mobile phones are pretty nice, though the BL40 could use a little revamp. The BL20 on the other hand is just right. It is a GSM phone – a very good looking GSM phone.
Taking Things Easy
LG made this phone with very few thoughts in mind; usability, practicality and style. Most people understand the first two, and LG executes those factors very nicely. From the slide out keypad to the touch sensitive front buttons, LG shows complete mastery of mobile phone ergonomics. The sides are hard edged and slim, making it easy to operate fully with just one hand. Lastly, at 115 grams, this little mobile phone weights very light and is easy to carry.
Not the BG40
Not a lot of people like the BL40, it had too much fuss for what would be a simple phone. This has been resolved with the LG BL20. It has HSDPA, tri-band GSM and a 5 megapixel camera. These are usually good enough for a smart phone. But LG has decided to load them all up in this GSM model. Is that a good move? Definitely, these features are now staples and should be incorporated when possible.
One Sexy Phone
One look at the LG BL20 Chocolate and you know that this is a lady’s phone. From the slim design to the bright red highlights, everything about this mobile phone’s external features show a very feminine design to it. The slight curve of the face across the QVGA screen also follows that design direction. While we may be used to gender-ambiguous mobile phones, it is nice to see that some cater to a specific crowd.
