Environmentally Friendly Holidays from Sony Ericsson

December 2nd, 2009 by Best Mobile Contracts

Sony Ericsson J10 SusanSony Ericsson just got a huge chip taken of their collective shoulders as Carphone Warehouse confirmed that the Aino is not having problems and the stocks are sitting pretty in their warehouses waiting for the launch.

Its good news since Sony Ericsson’s heavy hitters will not be arriving during the holidays. The Snapdragon powered XPERIA X10, the concept art phone XPERIA Pureness and the 720p HD Symbian Kurara will all be arriving on 2010 leaving Sony with just two devices this holiday, the Satio and the Aino.

Sadly, the Satio was beset by some many firmware based problems that Phones4U and Carephone Warehouse had to suspend sales, until now, not fixes of patches for the Satio has been released thereby putting the phone on indefinite leave.

This leaves the Aino holding Sony’s Holiday sales front alone, well not anymore.

Two devices from the Sony Ericsson Greenheart series will also be joining the holiday sales. Both devices are made of 50% recycled plastic and are two of the most eco friendly devices available (as their carbon footprint is significantly less compared to other devices). The Susan J10 and the Sunny J20 will be launching this month much to the delight of eco-conscious individuals all over the world –if you are not one, you should be, seriously.

So far, no final specifications have been released, but it seems the two phones will be pretty similar in terms of specs, and will only be different in terms of design. The Sunny is a slider phone and the Susan is a candy bar type mobile device. Both will have a 5 mega pixel camera, GPS and QVGA screens.

Aside from being made from at least 50% recycled plastics, the two phones are also waterproof –showing that being eco-friendly does not compromise functionality. The only thing missing now are optional solar panels and these devices are set to go.
