Nokia’s 2710 Navigation – 99 Pounds!

December 14th, 2009 by Best Mobile Contracts

Nokia 2710 Navigation EditionThere are sweet deals, and there are totally amazing steals -here’s one: Nokia’s 2710 Navigation just mapped its way to the mobile phone bargain bin.

Here’s the best spec: a price tag of 99 Pounds.

This impressive little gadget has been around for the past couple of days and it has been hard to wrap our heads around the really cheap price -and why not; the phone offers plenty of practical features, full GPS support and a pretty phone design.

The little 87 pound GSM device may not look much different from Nokia’s other 2G phones. In fact, the phone’s physical appearance is anything but impressive. The basic candy bar shape and its monotonous feel is certainly not for the fashion conscious. Instead, the straightforward features, low price and singular-functionality aspect of the device makes it more of a bargain hunter’s choice pick.

One thing we can recommend this device for is for use when hiking, travelling light or as part of a car’s emergency kit. The simple design of the device, its efficient GPS capabilities and, of course, its function as a mobile phone makes it very useful for these purposes. Navigation for walk and drive support makes the 2710 very versatile and reliable.

The phone also comes with a dashboard cradle, making it really suited for use in car as a dedicated GPS device. While the screen size is a little small to use properly while on the move, the display details are clear enough to be studied carefully in order to prepare a good route ahead of time. In transit, the device focuses on the use of turn-by-turn audio prompts in order to keep you in the right direction.

Again, the best feature of this device is its really low price. Very few other devices are this cheap and this functional. Expect to see this phone on shelves around April next year.
