Sony Ericsson Has More Mobile Problems With The Aino

December 1st, 2009 by Best Mobile Contracts

Sony Ericsson AinoAstoundingly, for the second time in as many weeks another new Sony Ericsson smartphone has been revealed to have some huge problems – this couldn’t happen at a worse time for the mobile phone manufacturer who was hoping to improve its image with the two devices.

The first device to experience issues prior to being pulled from shelves across the United Kingdom was the Sony Ericsson Satio, followed this week by the Aino.

Apparently these issues are effecting a large number of Aino users and involve serious issues when attempting to use the touch screen display; given that the Sony Ericsson Aino was set to be a big seller this Christmas, (along with the Satio), we actually feel quite bad for the company – they just can’t seem to get it right.

Mattias Holm, a spokesperson for Sony Ericsson, stated; “Obviously we are working as quickly as possible to solve it,” before adding, “the issue affects only a small number of customers in Britain.”

To be honest we aren’t sure exactly what Holm considers a small number – but given the number of users flooding online forums to complain we’re quite sure his definition of “small” is vastly different from our own.

This seems to be another case of a manufacturer rushing a mobile phone out the door before it is has been perfected; not even perfected necessarily, just made to work at a vaguely acceptable level.

If Sony Ericsson can’t hold off on launching new devices until they have at least tested the basic functionality, (you know, like if the phone freezes and restarts itself, or has a defective touch screen display), then they’re only going to tarnish their reputation further and further until the point no one will trust their handsets.

Here’s to hoping the next mobile phone from the company is triple checked before it gets into stores.
