The latest phone to join the LG Cookie range of devices – the LG Cookie Fresh GS290 – has been launched in the UK.
With features and looks similar to the original Cookie, the Cookie Fresh also boasts a 3 inch touch-sensitive screen.
The emphasis with the new Cookie is on social networking and the phone comes with apps pre-loaded for sites like Facebook. There is LiveSquare onboard too which lets you personalise the animated characters so they “become” the people you contact most.
And with a name like “fresh” you can probably guess it’s aiming to be that little bit different – the design is sleeker than the original and the colours are brighter, and the UI is interactive.
Among the “fresh” features are the Cartoon UI with 18 different themes to chose between so you can truly reflect your personality through your mobile phone; various apps like eBay and Amazon in the LG Widget Gallery; and an MP3 player, FM radio and 3.5mm audio connector.
Marketing director UK and Ireland for LG Electronics, Paul Trueman said: “The LG Cookie Fresh GS290 reflects our efforts to bring creativity and fun to the mobile touch-phone experience. Over 13 million units of the original LG Cookie have been sold worldwide and by extending the Cookie range we’re continuing to provide affordable full touchscreen phones to consumers.”
He added: “The LG Cookie Fresh GS290 builds on the original Cookie device with even more fun features and personalisation options”.
