Orange will soon be offering two of Samsung’s latest handsets, the Wave and the Monte, to customers in the UK.
The network operator will add to its growing list of mobile phones when it starts selling the S8500 Wave and the S5620 Monte devices. Its list currently includes the HTC Desire.
The Monte features a 3 inch capacitive touchscreen; a music player with support from DNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine), a 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio; a 3.2-megapixel camera with geo-tagging function; and the TouchWiz UI. The handset has integrated social networking abilities so you can stay in touch with friends effortlessly and comes with a range of apps including Google Maps.
The new Samsung device also has a decent battery life – up to 4.8 hours of talk time or up to 18 days on standby. And the internal memory can be boosted to up to 16GB via a microSD card.
Debuting Samsung’s own Bada OS, the Wave is a high-end smartphone which Samsung is keen to show the new platform’s user friendliness through. Among the many features are a fast 1GHz processor, a 3.3 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, TouchWiz UI, and DNSe for enhancing the sound quality of the inbuilt music player and FM radio.
Social networking is at the core of the Wave and it comes with the Social Hub function, which makes managing your social activities that bit easier – giving you access to the likes of Twitter, Facebook and emails, from the one place.
