Nokia has just launched the version 1.2 update for the Nokia N900 handset.

Improvements to this mobile phone include the integration of Facebook IM so you can chat to friends on the social networking site without needing to launch the main website.

Other enhancements of this upgrade include Skype video calling and portrait browsing. With portrait browsing, you can now access the internet while you hold the N900 in the one hand, making the whole experience even easier.

Email and calendar features on the Nokia N900 are also better thanks to the upgrade. For example, it’s easier to search and copy and paste now, and you can accept calendar invites from your emails. The virtual keyboard has been reworked and the phone lets you rearrange icons now. You can discover more on all the changes over on NokNok.

The Nokia N900 was introduced at the end of last year and comes with a 3.5 inch touchscreen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The phone is popular because it offers a computer-like user experience. There is Adobe Flash Player 9.4 onboard, a PDF document viewer, and a TV-out option for connecting the handset to your television for viewing images.

And when it comes to images, you’ll be able to capture high quality pictures on the phone’s 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash, video light and autofocus. With a music player, FM radio and up to 24.5 hours of music play, the N900 will keep you entertained and in touch with the things that matter to you, on the move. You can find out more about the phone’s features in our Nokia N900 reviews.
