Sony Ericsson has released new details for three upcoming mobile phones that were announced earlier this week.
First in the list is the Sony Ericsson Cedar. This handset is the latest addition to the Greenheart series of mobile phones and will also be following the same eco-friendly standards that have been set by previous models.
Expect to get an impressive candy bar handset that has been manufactured with more than 50% recycled plastic, no toxic chemicals, water borne paint, and minimal packaging. The manuals are encoded in electronic format in order to conserve ink and paper resources. This handset was originally announced as the Hong before it received the name change and will be part of the Elm and Hazel phone series.
Next up is the Sony Ericsson Yendo. The device was originally announced as an Android-Walkman handset before it was later revealed that despite looking like the X10 Mini, the mobile phone will not be sharing the same operating system. Later reports would give the device a new nickname, TeaCake (which actually sounds a whole lot better than Yendo).
As shown in images, the Yendo is small touch screen smart phone that closely resembles the recently launched X10 Mini Android smart phone. The device will be featuring Sony’s Walkman technology for high quality music playback capabilities.
Last on the list is the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8. This Android smart phone was originally leaked in a series of images along with the Yendo and was originally labeled as the XPERIA Shakira. Featuring a medium sized touch screen display, this handset was the in-between device for the XPERIA X10 and the XPERIA X10 Mini. While spec details on the device has yet to be released, it is assumed that the phone would have slightly lowered specs than the X10, but better hardware than the X10 Mini.
