The social networking-focused Android, the HTC Wildfire is now available on T-Mobile.
This means that as well as Vodafone, you can also choose HTC Wildfire deals from T-Mobile.
An impressive handset, the Wildfire is also affordable. Aimed at the younger audience, there are plenty of messaging and social networking features onboard this smartphone including a 3.2 inch capacitive screen and HTC’s Sense UI. There are apps for popular sites like Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, and the Wildfire also comes with HTC’s Friend Stream. The Stream is similar to Motorola’s MotoBlur function on the DEXT and QUENCH and merges all your communications into the one place. So you can view tweets, status updates, emails, photos and more from the one screen – and reply directly too.
When it launched last month, HTC EMEA vice president, Florian Seiche said: “HTC Wildfire makes the HTC Sense experience available to young mobile users for the first time. It brings all your communications into one place, whether it’s through Facebook, Twitter, text messages, images or email, ensuring that you are never far away from the conversation and always close to your friends.”
The Wildfire is ideal if you are a fan of the Desire but can’t quite stretch to this. And considering the lower price tag, you may be surprised at all the features and abilities on this phone. You can discover more from our Wildfire reviews but in essence, this mobile runs on the Android 2.1 OS; has a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash; a 3.5mm audio connector and FM radio; and apps including the new app sharing widget and Google Maps.
With the app sharing widget, you can recommend various apps that you have on your phone or find in the Android Market, by sending the link to friends via email, text or social networking sites.
The HTC Wildfire is now offered on both Vodafone and T-Mobile.
