The messaging-centred Nokia C3 smartphone will be available to buy from 18 June onwards in the UK.
The new phone will be sold exclusively through Vodafone for the first month before also becoming available through O2.
An affordable 2G handset that has support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, you’ll be able to stay in touch with friends and family in multiple ways on the C3. There is instant messaging through various clients including Google Talk and Windows Live Messenger, and support for up to ten email addresses. In addition, the Nokia C3 has social networking integration. This means that as well as having direct access to sites like Twitter and Facebook, all updates will be displayed on the home screen.
And messaging is made easier by the full QWERTY keyboard beneath the 2.4 inch screen – which also makes the C3 resemble a BlackBerry in design, similar to the E5.
You can take photos on the phone’s 2-megapixel camera and listen to music on the phone’s MP3 player. The camera has a video option for shooting movies on your travels, and the 3.5mm audio jack lets you listen to songs through your earphones.
Mark Loughran, managing director at Nokia UK, said: “The Nokia C3 brings style and connectivity at an affordable price. Whether it’s via email, the web, social networks or IM, you are always connected, in a way that suits you.”
We’ll have Nokia C3 deals available when the phone lands on 18 June and you can discover more about the social networking device in our C3 reviews section.
