Music fans should prepare to celebrate – Nokia X6 8GB deals are due to arrive in the UK this September.
The X6 8GB is the same stylish device that both the original X6 and X6 16GB models are but with a reduced memory. Nokia has done this to make the popular smartphone more accessible. A concept not unknown to other manufacturers including Apple, which has just launched the iPhone 4 in 16GB and 32GB versions, by releasing the handset with a smaller storage capacity Nokia makes the X6 phone more affordable.
And with 8GB the phone can store 2000+ songs, making it a serious contender in the mobile music market.
So for less money, you can enjoy the same 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen with scratch-resistant glass; customisable home screen; and compact design that the 32GB X6 provides. In addition to the music ability which spans inbuilt speakers, up to 35 hours of playback support, and access to the Nokia Music Store – there is a high-end camera on the X6 8GB phone. The camera has 5-megapixels, Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash and a VGA video. And you can discover more about the cheaper X6 model in our X6 8GB reviews.
Scheduled to reach the UK in time for Nokia World in September, prices for the handset are still to be confirmed. The Nokia blog had this to say on the matter: “The Nokia X6 8GB hasn’t been priced for the UK yet but with an estimated price of 225 Euros, it’s set to be the most affordable Xseries capacitive screen yet!”
