The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro handset is now available on O2.
A QWERTY version of the original Vivaz phone, the Vivaz Pro offers you the best of both worlds – the mobile has a 3.2 inch highly-responsive touchscreen with virtual keyboard together with a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard. So for those moments you want to send a quick message, you can simply tap the screen, and for lengthier messaging, slide the keyboard out and enjoy comfortable typing. The inbuilt accelerometer means the screen automatically changes to landscape mode when the keyboard is out.
And that’s not all. The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro comes with the signature “human curvature” design which means it looks distinctive and sits well in the palm of your hand. The screen supports 16 million colours, displaying images with a vibrancy and clarity seen on the Vivaz phone, and uses thin glass like the original so you only need to make the lightest touch onscreen to launch apps or interact with features.
A little chunkier than the original Vivaz due to the inbuilt QWERTY keyboard, the Vivaz Pro retains a compact design. The phone runs on the same Symbian Series 60, 5th edition, OS and is powered by the same 720MHz processor. The Pro versions are proving popular and this is not the only one to be released by Sony Ericsson – there is also the XPERIA X10 Mini Pro handset.
The addition of a physical keyboard is especially good, considering all the messaging and social networking features on the Vivaz Pro. There are apps for Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr, as well as MMS and email. The 5-megapixel camera has an LED flash and touch focus so you can take decent photos, and the video is capable of capturing HD quality footage. Watching videos onscreen is enjoyable thanks to the high resolution – or you can instantly upload images onto your favourite sites.
There are customisable shortcuts along the top of the screen, and dedicated keys including a record button. You can also enjoy music on the Vivaz Pro as the phone comes with an FM radio, 3.5mm audio connector and TrackID music recognition for identifying songs you hear and like.

Available currently in black, the mobile phone should soon be released in extra colour schemes. The combination of a HD touchscreen, HD video capabilities, an array of messaging and social networking features, and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard make this handset highly desirable. And we have a range of Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro deals for you to choose between, on the O2 network.
