The latest high-end smartphone from Acer will be available in the UK from Tuesday 3 August onwards.
Available to buy for £400, you’ll be able to obtain Acer Stream deals in a matter of days. Sold exclusively from UK retailer eXpansys, the Stream follows in the footsteps of the Acer Liquid e smartphone.
Run on the Android 2.1 platform and powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, the Stream is capable and swift. The screen is the same size and quality as the Google Nexus One’s, measuring 3.7 inches and using AMOLED capacitive technology. There is support for multi-touch and the UI is Acer Touch 3D, making for an interactive and friendly user experience.
When it comes to visual entertainment, the Acer Stream excels. You can stream videos onto the handset and watch onscreen, playback your own videos taken on the 5-megapixel camera in HD quality, or plug the HDMI port into your TV and watch on the bigger screen. With Dolby Mobile sound technology onboard, listening is a joy too. And there are dedicated control keys for music and media, so you can play, stop and select from the exterior of the Stream.
The Acer Stream reviews section details the features of this smartphone. As well as entertainment, this Acer has good social networking ability with a Facebook app pre-installed. As an Android device – which can be upgraded to the new Android 2.2 version when released which will enable support for Flash 10.1 – there is access to the Android Market for browsing and downloading various apps, games and features. The internal memory can be boosted to up to 32GB so you can store all your apps, videos, photos, music and data comfortably on the Acer Stream.
With excellent connectivity options including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0, sharing your world with friends and family is easy with the Stream. You can email, send a text or multimedia message, go on social networking sites, and enjoy instant messaging. In addition, you can connect the phone to your TV to share your photos and videos.
