O2 Set to Launch Sony Ericsson Yendo Deals in September

July 22nd, 2010 by Caroline

Sony-Ericsson-Yendo-bThe first full touchscreen Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson is coming to O2 in September.

Previously anticipated for an October release, you will be able to buy Yendo deals on the O2 network within the next couple of months.

Small and attractive, the Sony Ericsson Yendo measures just 94 x 52 x 16mm and weighs a mere 81g. Its size means you can take this mobile with you wherever you go, listening to music, chatting with friends online or making calls. As a Walkman device, the Yendo is mainly a music player with the added bonus of features like a 2-megapixel camera and video. And of course, it is a phone too so you no longer need to take a handset and an MP3 player with you on your travels.

Music wise, you can store ample tracks on the expandable internal memory. Using a microSD card, the phone holds up to 16GB of songs and data – and transferring tunes to your Yendo is effortless thanks to the MediaGo feature. There is TrackID technology onboard which lets you record a snippet of a song to discover the song title, artist name and album details.

The 2.6 inch screen is touch-sensitive so you can control all the apps and features directly. The Yendo’s UI is similar to the X10 Mini’s and has a shortcut in each corner that you can personalise with your most-used features. You can read more about the Walkman touchscreen phone in our Sony Ericsson Yendo reviews section.

The Yendo features an exchangeable back cover so you can personalise the handset accordingly. On O2, white and aqua blue covers are included in the box. The other case colour choices are green, orange, pink, silver, red, yellow, black, and purple.
