Another Google Android smart phone has been announced and it is up for preorder from Orange and T-Mobile.
The easy to pocket Samsung Galaxy Europa i5500 is a noteworthy offering for entry level users. Its name easily gives it away as a part of the Korean company’s line, basically because Europa is one of Jupiter’s smallest moons.
Anyone who has ever wanted to try having a smart phone should check this well balanced unit out. Its 600 MHz processor is capable of handling constant music playing, web surfing and social networking. It also has a 2 megapixel camera so users can take digital snap shots anytime they want and be able to post it in Facebook or MySpace. The best part of all is that the Europa already carries the newest Android operating system, namely Éclair (version 2.1).
For music enthusiasts or those who just want to keep themselves entertained on the road, the Europa is able to play tunes with the .MP3 file extension. If you would rather discover new hits or listen to something new, a stereo FM radio is also present in the Google powered unit. For headsets, earphones and the like, a 3.55 mm port can be found on each unit as well.
In order to store all your images and music, the Europa has an expandable microSD slot. With a memory card, your storage slot may be expanded up to a roomy 16 GB.
For anyone interested in the Samsung Galaxy Europa i5500, it is now up for preorder in Orange and T-Mobile. According to the latter’s pricing of 15 GBP per month, it is truly a budget friendly phone. The subscription already nets you 300 minutes of talk time and 300 text messages are inclusive. If you plan on surfing the web using the Europa however, you will need to go for an additional 5 GBP for a good data plan.
