Samsung Galaxy Beam Deals Coming Soon to UK

July 9th, 2010 by Caroline

samsung-beamWith a launch date in Singapore of 17 July, Samsung Galaxy Beam deals are anticipated to land in the UK soon after this day.

The first smartphone with an inbuilt pico projector, the Beam is a powerful Android device that is packed full of features and advanced technology. The projector itself is located at the top of the handset so you simply need to point and project to see your content as a larger image. Projections measure between 5 and 50 inches in size, giving you freedom to display items ranging from work documents in a meeting to holiday snaps for friends. And considering this phone has a projector inside, it is not bulky, measuring 123 x 60 x 15mm and weighing 155g.

As a high-end smartphone, the mobile naturally comes with a whole range of additional abilities, as detailed in our Samsung Galaxy Beam reviews. There is Samsung’s TouchWiz UI onboard for an easy and interactive user experience. Social networking is integrated and live updates are displayed on the home screen in real-time – similar to the Friend Stream function on HTC devices and Motorola‘s MotoBlur.

Viewing images and updates on the Galaxy Beam is a pleasure thanks to the 3.7 inch Super AMOLED screen. The screen is the same as the Samsung Wave’s, only 0.4 inches bigger. So browsing web pages or admiring photos taken on the 8-megapixel camera or videos shot on the HD recorder, is a joy as the colours are rich and the definition high. The screen has a scratch-resistant surface too, to help keep the display crystal clear for longer.

As a multimedia device, the Beam also comes with a music player and FM radio together with DNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine) technology for enhanced sound quality. And the battery life is decent too with up to 7 hours of talk time or 530 hours of standby time.

You shouldn’t have too long to wait now to get your hands on this Samsung projector smartphone – and we’ll bring you details of pricing and network availability soon.
