HTC’s Android Devices Set to Come Out Later this Year

August 16th, 2010 by Best Mobile Contracts

Several months ago, a small roadmap of upcoming smart phones was leaked and a few handsets from various manufacturers were named. Among the list are a few HTC devices that certainly got our attention.

One HTC device that seemed to stay low on the radar at that time was the HTC Ace. Nobody knew any details or information about the handset and it was assumed that it would be another vanilla style Android handset with a large touch screen display. The fact is, the HTC Ace might just be the most powerful Android handset to be released.

Just as the Desire set the standard for HTC’s new phones, the Ace seems to pack that very same market position as well. According to reports, the Ace is actually the Desire HD. This phone will have an impressive touch screen display with AMOLED technology, a powerful CPU clocked at over 1GHz and of course, the latest version of Google’s mobile platform, the Android 2.2 Froyo. Images confirm that the previously rumored 8 mega pixel camera will definitely be part of the handset.

The Desire HD has made a sneak appearance in a recent invitation that HTC has sent out, giving a hint that the handset may be unveiled at the upcoming September 15 event that the Taiwanese manufacturer is planning.

Speaking of upcoming phones, the other HTC Android that was revealed at the roadmap is the HTC Vision. This phone has previously come up in a series of images that identified it as HTC’s first Android smart phone that uses a physical keyboard. So far, it is not known as to when the device will finally come out, but earlier rumors stated that the specs for the phone are very similar to the Desire HD, which means that the two handsets might be enjoying a side by side launch this coming September.
