Nokia’s latest phone has just been released and from what we’ve seen, it’s a good one. The Nokia X3-02 Touch and Type is the first phone from Nokia to feature both a touch screen and the more traditional keypad. This best-of-both-worlds approach allows users to have all the fun of the touch screen experience, while keeping the undeniable practical benefits and ease of use that a keypad provides.
In terms of outward appearance, the Nokia X3 isn’t really breaking any new ground, but the 2.4” touch screen and super-slim design give the phone a modern, sleek look. Add to this the brushed aluminium cover, available in a range of 5 colours, and Nokia have a phone that would look good in anyone’s pocket.
Naturally, the Nokia X3 has a full range of media and connectivity features. HSPA, 3G and WiFi will allow users to browse the internet smoothly and quickly, and since this is a Nokia phone, users will have access to the huge range of games and apps available from Ovi Store. A dedicated music button allows users to get their favourite tunes playing with the minimum of effort and with a potential 16Gb of memory, storage space for all that music shouldn’t be an issue.
The Nokia X3 boasts an impressive 5 mega-pixel camera and the ever-important integrated support for social networking sites Facebook and Twitter is provided by Nokia’s Communities client, so users can share high quality pictures with friends and family easily.
Overall the Nokia X3-02 looks like a very stylish and feature rich phone. Considering that (according to Nokia’s official Press Release) it’s expected to retail for around €125 (about £100), and that Nokia X3 deals are likely to be very reasonable and plentiful, this phone should be a serious consideration for anyone looking to get a ton of high-end features for a low-end price.
