Vodafone UK has added the Nokia C6 to its range of smartphones and handsets.

The C6 was launched back in July and is now available on Vodafone as well as other network providers including O2, Orange and T-Mobile.

While this Nokia is not a high-end device able to rival the might of the iPhone 4 or Galaxy S, the C6 offers you a fair amount for a small amount of money. The 3.2 inch screen uses resistive technology but navigation is enhanced by the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The four rows of physical keys mean you can comfortably type longer messages on this phone, and the screen can be flipped to landscape view thanks to the inbuilt accelerometer.

For communication alone, the Nokia C6 is a good choice. The handset has support for instant messaging, email, social networking and multimedia messaging. The 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity enable you to browse online with relative ease, and the home screen can be personalised with your shortcuts for direct access to your preferred features.

Launched after the Nokia C5, the C6 is the most advanced of the C-Series phones, a range that is all about affordable and simple communication. In terms of features, these include a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, and an FM radio. There is also Nokia Maps onboard which provides turn-by-turn navigation and information on UK cities as well as some cities abroad.

Considering you can get the Nokia C6 on Vodafone for free on all contracts from £20 per month, we think this phone offers good value for money. Do you agree? Or will you be hanging on for the long-awaited N8? Or perhaps you’re not a Nokia fan and would rather compare mobile phone offers from BlackBerry and HTC?
