O2 Launches BlackBerry Curve 8520 Deals on PAYG

August 12th, 2010 by Caroline

In keeping with current trends, O2 has launched the BlackBerry Curve 8520 model on PAYG.

Yesterday we updated you on the iPhone 4 news – namely that Vodafone had sold out of the smartphone on Pay As You Go within 24 hours.

So PAYG certainly seem to be popular at the moment. O2 is now offering BlackBerry Curve 8520 deals on contract as well as PAYG. On PAYG the handset costs £149.99.

You’ll be able to get hold of the Curve 8520 in the O2 exclusive purple colour, as well as the standard black.

The traditional looking BlackBerry sports a 2.46 inch screen and QWERTY keyboard. For work, the handset is good because it has multiple email address support together with Push Email. It also looks the part thanks to its professional exterior, and is easy to use due to the keyboard and optical trackpad.

Unlike the newly-announced Torch handset, the Curve 8520 does not have a touch-sensitive screen so the inclusion of the trackpad is especially valuable.

There is also plenty to keep you entertained on this BlackBerry. For example, the phone is Mac compatible and you’ll be able to sync contacts, music and more when the soon-to-be-released BlackBerry Desktop Software arrives. And with capacity to hold up to 32GB worth of data via a microSD card, you’ll have plenty of space for all your names, tunes and photos.

The Curve 8520 has dedicated music keys too, just like the Curve 9300 handset. The design of the new 9300 is similar to this BlackBerry too and it features the standard screen-QWERTY combination together with features for business and pleasure.

Are you tempted by the Curve 8520 on PAYG with O2? Or perhaps you already own the handset? Either way, we value your feedback and would love to hear your comments over in our BlackBerry Curve 8520 ratings section.
