T-Mobile: BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105 Deals Now on Pay As You Go

August 4th, 2010 by Caroline

Those of you not waiting to buy the newly announced BlackBerry Torch smartphone to set your world alight with its touchscreen and slide-out keyboard combination, can now get hold of BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105 deals on T-Mobile UK on Pay As You Go.

The BlackBerry Pearl 3G is compact and weighs just 93.6g – considerably lighter than the average BlackBerry handset. But then the Pearl 3G has broken with the traditional BlackBerry model and sports an alphanumerical keypad instead of a QWERTY or half-QWERTY. The keypad also has a distinctive wavy design, giving it a modern look that reveals its mass market appeal.

Available on monthly deals starting from £20 a month, the Pearl 3G 9105 is now available on PAYG on T-Mobile for £249. Despite its relatively small price tag, the smartphone is packed with familiar features that make the BlackBerry a popular choice of phone for professionals and non-professionals alike.

There is the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) app on the Pearl 3G 9105 which lets you send messages for free to other BlackBerry owners. And ample apps for chatting via social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter are pre-installed together with access to the BlackBerry App World. For entertainment, you can sync your music collections on iTunes or Windows Media Player using Media Sync. If you own this BlackBerry, we’d love to hear your comments on its user friendliness and abilities, over on our Pearl 3G 9105 reviews page.

Reported in Mobile Magazine, T-Mobile head of device marketing Nicola Shenton said: “Making the BlackBerry Pearl 3G available to our customers on a pay-as-you-go tariff is part of T-Mobile’s mission to bring more affordable, top end smartphones to the wider market. BlackBerrys are no longer just for business use. More and more of our customers are asking for them, and by offering the handsets on a pay-as-you-go tariff, we’re making it more accessible.”
