Did you snap-up an iPhone 4 on PAYG with Vodafone yesterday? If not, you’re too late – at least for now – as the network provider has already sold out.
Unbelievably, just a day after releasing iPhone 4 PAYG deals, Vodafone has issued this statement on its website: We’ve sold out of the hugely popular iPhone 4 – but more are on the way.
The iPhone 4 on Pay As You Go is apparently very popular and Vodafone isn’t the only network to be out of stock – Orange is too. And neither 3 nor T-Mobile offer the iPhone 4 on PAYG.
So if you’re keen to buy the smartphone on PAYG, network providers are encouraging you to place an order and then wait. Even on Apple’s store, the 16GB and 32GB models take 3 weeks to ship.
And Vodafone’s offer is particularly attractive if you buy before November, as the network is including a whole heap of monthly data with the PAYG package.
There’s something about Apple products that keeps them in demand. There were stock shortages and launch delays with the iPad, and now with the newest iPhone 4. Perhaps it is to do with the apps or modern design but Apple devices sell well – even when surrounded by controversy such as the so-called antenna issues with the iPhone 4.
In our opinion, the support for multi-tasking on the new iPhone widens its appeal, especially when combined with an enhanced battery. As much as we love the iPhone 3G S, the battery is not good and you do need to charge the phone at least once a day. It’s the little touches such as the proximity sensor which switches the display off when you answer a call to save power, which keeps the iPhone 4 going for longer.

We’ll keep you updated with the PAYG offers for the phone, although you’ll have to move quick when stock is available as it never seems to last long.
