The popular HTC smartphones, Desire and Wildfire, are now available on pre-order in brand new and exclusive colours.
The HTC Desire white and the HTC Wildfire silver are exclusive to the Carphone Warehouse in the UK and can be bought on monthly contracts starting at £20 for the Wildfire and £25 for the Desire.
Currently offered in black, brown and silver, the HTC Desire in white is likely to be a hit – especially as Apple is yet to launch the iPhone 4 in white, and is unlikely to do so until the end of this year. The Wildfire is already available in white, as well as black, brown and red – with silver coming soon.
Anticipated to launch on 1 October, you can pre-order your HTC Android in white or silver from Carphone Warehouse and Mobiles.co.uk.
Both mobile phones run on the Android 2.1 platform and feature an optical trackpad to enhance the touchscreen, and HTC’s Sense UI. The Desire has a 3.7 inch AMOLED display while the more affordable Wildfire has a 3.2 inch capacitive screen. Social networking is integrated on the phones so you can stay in contact with friends via Twitter and Facebook on the move, and the handsets’ inbuilt 5-megapixel camera with LED flash lets you take photos and upload them online using the 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity support.
HTC recently unveiled the Desire HD smartphone which has a 4.3 inch screen and runs on the Android 2.2 OS. A high-end device with an aluminium casing and 8-megapixel camera, the updated Desire is due for release in the UK next month and confirmed network providers include Vodafone and T-Mobile.
