It looks like HTC has an upcoming Windows Phone 7 handset. According to reports a new device has popped up in O2 UK’s listing and judging from what we have seen, this just might be the Windows Phone 7 for the Taiwan based phone maker.
The last phone in the HD series is technically the HTC HD2. And the name that popped up on the listing is the HTC HD7 –which further pushes the possibility that this is a Windows Phone “7” device. The naming scheme matches and explains why it skips numbers 3 to 6.
Aside from being shown on the listing, we have yet to see the rest of the details on the device. At the very least, this phone will be matching the minimum hardware requirements that were set by Microsoft for all WP7 devices. Expect to see the HTC HD7 this coming October when the new Microsoft mobile platform finally launches.
In other news, Huawei has confirmed that the IDEOS will definitely be supporting the new Android 2.2 Froyo operating system and it will officially be the very first low cost Froyo device on the market. This handset showcases a wide range of colors, a great form factor and naturally, a very affordable price. The IDEOS is set launch this coming October on various mobile networks.
Last on the news list: Apple has launched the new iOS version 4.1 update.
The new update features several key additions and first of which is the update for the camera usage. High Dynamic Range (HDR) photos can be captured with a single setting allowing users the convenience of shot variety (it takes 3 different shot exposures in one click).
Also updated in the new OS version is the inclusion of HD video uploads and an update for Apple’s iTunes.
