The BlackBerry 9670 is one interesting RIM made handset. For one thing, the device sports a unique form factor: a flip open style that takes out the usual BB form that most smart phone users are used to.
Despite this little change, the overall layout of the device and its navigation controls still remain quite close to that of the previous version. Once again, there is emphasis on the use of the optical touch pad in order to move around the menus. A recently uploaded series of videos showcasing the BlackBerry OS 6 mobile platform on the 9670 has shown how most of the user interface works.
If you were originally not excited about this BB handset, then checking out the videos might make you change your mind.
In more mobile news, it seems that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Android tablet is already confirmed as heading straight for T-Mobile. No specific details have been given as to what price plans the network will be offering, but it is estimated that the device will set buyers back by almost 700 Pounds.
While that is quite a lot, it is a pretty decent price tag for an impressive tablet device like the Tab.
The Galaxy Tab is announced to have a 7 inch TFT capacitive touch screen display, a 5 mega pixel camera, a 1GHz CPU and of course, the Android operating system.
Wrapping up today’s headlines is the renaming of the previously announced HTC HD7 Windows Phone handset. According to reports, the smart phone was originally supposed to be named as the HD7 to indicate that the series was moving on from the original HD series which featured the older Windows Mobile operating system.
While the name of the handset has apparently been changed from HD7 to HD3, all the known and confirmed hardware specifications still remain.
