Virgin Media Confirms Exclusive Green Sony Ericsson Spiro Deals on PAYG

September 10th, 2010 by Caroline

If you’re in the market for a Walkman-branded budget mobile phone on PAYG, and are partial to green and white colour combinations, then you are in for a treat – Virgin Media has launched so-called spring green Sony Ericsson Spiro PAYG deals, available for just £49.99 when bought with a £10 top-up card.

This rather fetching green case colour for the Spiro is only offered on Virgin Media. Other colour choices for this mobile phone include contrast black, sunset pink and stealth black.

The Spiro is an attractive Walkman phone, complete with dedicated music keys on the front and a slide-down numerical keyboard behind the screen. Launched together with the Zylo handset, the Spiro is all about aural entertainment twinned with fairly basic communication. For example, many of the internal and external features are focused on music – there is TrackID ability for finding out song details from a recorded snippet; an FM radio; a 3.5mm audio connector; and access to the PlayNow music store.

In addition to the music abilities of this device, the Spiro comes with apps for Twitter and Facebook so you can stay in touch with friends more easily. Light at just 90g, this phone is certainly portable and if you’re a fan of compact devices, you’ll likely admire this phone’s design.

The Spiro is also available on PAYG through Orange and Vodafone, and on monthly deals through network providers including O2, Orange and Vodafone.

For the price, this Sony Ericsson phone offers a decent amount. Do you like the Spiro phone? And are you tempted by the spring green version of the mobile? Let us know what you think, over in our Spiro customer ratings section.
