More than a week ahead of the anticipated UK launch date of one of the first WP7 smartphones, the Dell Venue Pro is already available on pre-order.
Pre-order Venue Pro offers are being offered via online retailer eXpansys for a SIM-free price of £499.99. And Amazon is also rumoured to have briefly displayed the handset for the same price and launch date – Monday 8 November.
However, neither the price nor the release date has been confirmed by Dell. Neither have details of network providers surfaced yet although we do know this Windows Phone 7-based mobile phone is being offered on T-Mobile when it launches in the US.
This high-end smartphone naturally comes with an array of Microsoft features so you’ll be able to stay connected to the world of work documents and spreadsheets, and communicate freely via email, on the Venue Pro. And when it comes to communication, you have choice – there is the 4.1 inch capacitive touchscreen together with a slide-down QWERTY keypad.
The impressive display is protected from any unwanted scratches by Gorilla glass. So when you view your photos or HD-quality videos, snapped on the phone’s 5-megapixel camera, you’ll surely appreciate the high-resolution images all the more.
There is also full connectivity support on the Venue Pro so you can enjoy social networking access and general online availability on the move.
The other handsets sporting the WP7 OS include the HTC HD7, HTC 7 Trophy, HTC 7 Mozart and Samsung Omnia 7. The Venue Pro is the only one of this range to feature a slide-down QWERTY design, though.
