Mobile deals with free gifts are not uncommon, but just occasionally one turns up that really raises eyebrows. In this case, we’ve spotted not one but three mobile deals with free gifts that look almost too good to be true from online retailer mobiles.co.uk.
The first is an LG Cookie Lite deal on Orange. For £35 a month you get the handset, unlimited texts, 800 minutes and 500 MB per month data allowance. That’s not a bad deal in itself, but throw in a 32” Samsung HD TV and an Xbox 360 with a combined RRP of £549.99 for free and you’ve got a deal that’s really pretty astonishing.
Next, we’ve picked out a Nokia 2220 deal, also on Orange. This £30 a month deal includes unlimited texts, 300 minutes and 500MB of data every month. Free with this contract are a 22” Toshiba HD TV and a Nintendo Wii with a combined RRP of £399.99. Not bad, at all!
Our last pick is a Nokia 1661 bundle that gets you 600 minutes and unlimited texts for £30 per month. And the free gifts? A Toshiba 22” HD TV and a Sony Playstation 3 Slim with a RRP of £549.99. Impressive!
Now, let’s be honest – the handsets included in these bundles aren’t cutting edge. If you want an iPhone 4 or an HTC Desire HD to show off to your friends and workmates, then you might want to look elsewhere. However, these are all decent modern handsets with all the features most users would require and if you’re part of the quiet majority who see a mobile phone as a functional device and not a fashion accessory then you really won’t be able to find many contracts that give you more for your money than these.
