Samsung Wave II Offers to Arrive in UK in December for £375

October 19th, 2010 by Caroline

In time for Christmas, the true second Wave is braced to land in the UK in December with an estimated price tag of £375.

Announced last week, the Samsung Wave II is the company’s fifth Bada-run smartphone and comes with the latest Bada 1.2 OS. And according to a tweet from Samsung UK’s account, Samsung doesn’t “have an exact date, but the Wave II will be available in the UK from December 2010”.

The original Wave was launched in June this year and recently topped the one-million sales mark in Europe. Building on the success of its first Bada phone, the Wave II sports a larger, 3.7 inch screen that shuns Super AMOLED technology and instead embraces a Super Clear LCD display.

Among the high-end features of this Samsung handset are a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and HD video, 1.5GB of internal storage and a 1GHz processor. There is support for full connectivity so you can access the internet, engage in mobile social networking through the likes of Twitter and Facebook as well as make the most of the phone’s Social Hub function.

Samsung Wave II offers will launch in Europe next month for €430 SIM-free, and land in the UK a month later with an anticipated £375 price tag – are you tempted by this newest Wave? You can discover more about this handset and share your thoughts on it, over on our Wave II customer ratings page.

This isn’t the only Wave to be unveiled in recent weeks by Samsung, and a more affordable trio will also be heading your way soon. These are the Wave525, the Wave533 which sports a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and the Wave575 which comes with 3G connectivity.

We’ll keep you posted on the official UK launch date of the Wave II together with pricing on individual network providers, as well as any developments on the trio of Samsung Waves.
